Getting Excited!

It’s finally January of 2025! Which means it’s go time! Not sure why we waited so long but I am actually glad we did. It gave me time to think, reset, reflect, refine, re-think, and so on. I have never been more confident in the business than I am right now. And I think that’s because I finally have some clarity on it.

For the past year and a half, I have been thinking about “THE HUG BUTTON” everyday. I kept thinking it should be more, it should change, it should be this, or that. I didn’t let myself just let it be it. I knew the concept was great, but wasn’t sold on the product itself. That’s when it just hit me a couple days ago, after sharing the business idea and bracelet with my brother. He said, “you’re not selling a bracelet, you’re selling that story” — which was exactly right. I knew I wasn’t trying to create a piece of jewelry, I was selling the idea of what the bracelet does for people. How it makes kids feel in times of discomfort. How it makes parents feel when they are away. How it makes anyone who wears it remember what life is all about.

In short, it’s not the string and button that people are going to buy, it’s the story of how the hug button works. And how a visual reminder throughout your day will help children create resilience, independence, and confidence. People care about people and want to hear people’s stories. Most people also want to be a part of something that is doing good on the world. This whole concept reassured me that what we doing is going to be special. It’s going to be so much more than a bracelet, but a new outlook on life.
